New Taggeneration

Hi there, the exposure of so many people has accelerated our efforts to make creating tags as smooth and as secure as possible. I uploaded the new generator a couple of minutes ago with the following new features: The output is not just a plain html page anymore (which gave some people headaches when printing) but you now get a shiny, portable and very printable PDF for your usage. You can either download (and print later) or directly print out the document. Obviously you will need some kind of application that can handle pdfs though. Secondly we provide you with alternative layouts. The classical 4 x A6 is default which means you get 4 tags on one DIN A4 page. Alternatively you can create 8 smaller tags (A7) which was often requested due to the somewhat bulkiness of their larger brothers. So feel free to choose and let us know if you fancy other layouts for our coming development. When you want to create tags now, we ask you to accept the fact that you have to ask for permission before attaching the printed out tags onto someone elses property. We, Stan and I, do not want to create a physical spam engine (just as advertising is one) and we want everyone to respect others property. So that is that. Our experience shows that if you are polite and ask (and better even demo) what the tags are and what people can use them for, it is very easy to obtain this permission… Alright, getting back to some work now. Feel free to comment, too. Before I forget: Due to the change in the creation URL, we want to point out that there is a new Greasemonkey Script for you to download. This script will insert a small textlink onto Wikimedia pages that you are browsing with Firefox. This textlink brings you directly to the generated PDF for the Wikimedia article you are visiting.

Best,

Alexis
