Wikimania
We just got back to Beijing from Taipei, Taipei was such a pleasant surprise, very lively and fresh city, no back water town at all, very modern in a charming way, lots of little sideroads filled with live. We went to the Wikimania all 3 days and enjoyed that it was much smaller then last year and easier to meet people. We got a lot of inspirations. We might get an arabic Translation! Was good to talk to wikipedians from Indonesia and learn about the language scenario over there. Alexis and me were showing them statistics and explaining them that semapedia is very active in Indonesia, they had no idea;). And there was a lot of talk about Africa, can’t wait to set to set my foot on there;) Our workshop went real well, both me and Alexis were presenting and then cranked out some stickers for our friends.
You might have seen the article “All The World’s A Page” in the Wall Street Journal Asia (both print and online), one of the best and most sensible pieces yet on semapedia. And what a great illustration! Thanks so much all you semapedians, we are on the right track!
